Rose Weaver's Menopause Mama is an 80-minute or 50-minute theatrical solo performance by Rose Weaver that uses simple production elements for theatres, conferences, conventions, colleges, retreats. See technical information page for set details (.pdf format).

ADDED OPTION:

• Humanities Q&A between the playwright and the audience about the cultural significance of menopause following some performances

• A rite of passage ceremony for girls and women that is cross-generational and cross-cultural.

Two Options


The two versions can be booked as a performance only or with these options:

o Humanities Q&A between the playwright and the audience about the cultural significance of menopause following the performance
o A Rite of Passage Ceremony for girls and women using drumming, songs, dance, and ritual.

o Health discussion and Q&A following the performance between a panel of healthcare experts and the audience (this can be provided by the client or by the Menopause Mama organization)

Production Requirements

SHOW DESCRIPTION:

The entire play takes place on a single set and is preset at the top of the show with no changes in props or scenery. The one cast member must be able to make entrance and exit from one side of the stage and, possibly, from the house. All songs are performed live. Music and sound effects are pre-recorded on CD.
